The brilliant Head of Miðgarðr Hall, Raviv is a prodigiously talented medical magician. Healing magic is an extraordinarily difficult and dangerous branch of magic, with unskilled healers being dangers to both themselves and the patients they treat. An orphan from Nature, Raviv moved to Plague territory at a young age and quickly began his own personal vendetta against death. During his brief time living in the quarantine zone, he saw more than his fair share of suffering, and, being a deeply sensitive and empathetic dragon, he vowed to do all he could to help. Raviv quickly took up the study of healing magic and speedily became recognized for his great talent and steady hand. Having studied at some of the best medical schools across Sornieth, by the time Raviv moved to Light, he's skilled enough at medical magic that he can mend broken bones in a heartbeat and repair torn flesh as easily as putting on a band-aid. He turned down a job as one of Home's Chief Physicians, preferring instead to work directly with helping to train the young humanitarians in Miðgarðr Hall. Level-headed, calm, and sensitive, Raviv often seems much older than he actually is. He's far from the oldest on Home's faculty board, but he carries a magnanimous air about him that makes him seem older, wiser, and a touch intimidating to those who don't know him well. His students in Miðgarðr often think that he's probably incapable of uttering an unkind word against anyone, and he's never proven them wrong. Despite his great talent, he could never be accused of being overly proud or vain, and he is able to find something of value in every student he works with. Raviv is known around Home for his constantly calm and relaxed nature, almost always composed, always polite, and rarely raising his voice or letting intense emotion show. He knows that his calm nature and brilliant mind can come across as a bit intimidating; he often uses humor to help other dragons, especially younger students, feel relaxed with him. Raviv will readily admit to his greatest flaw being a bit of a tendency to let power get to his head, one of the reasons he will never accept a post higher than Head of Hall. He thinks that, combined with his tendency to be too stoicly pragmatic, he would make a poor dragon in a position of power. He also tends to keep secrets a bit compulsively - despite his kind nature and willingness to trust, he rarely opens up about himself. A bit eccentric, Raviv loves brightly-colored clothes, sweets, and knitting. He can be very hard to get to know, with many of his students having been through countless hours of conversation and still knowing very little about him, but Raviv is a brilliant dragon and wonderful Head of Hall.
