Biography

One of two Guardians created by Giselth the Twilight to watch over her land, the Crystalwood, home of the cireln. Before the Great Exodus she appeared as an iridescent white bird with the same inner glow as all things and peoples indigenous to the area she silently watched over for countless Ages. More than being a sentinel of the land itself, as the cireln proved themselves very capable of defending the borders, Cryel and her counterpart Cryair were the keepers of Giselth's Flamestones.

Flamestones are rocks or crystals imbued with unusual traits. Very few exist as only gods can create them and only with great purpose. Cryel protected Flamestones which were eternally unmelting ice in quality while Cryair protected those eternally heated. No one knows why the cireln were given many freely while the rest have been adamantly guarded but those brave enough to confront the only true children of their god in search of more of the stones have been known to be granted what they seek. These Guardians and the Flamestones they protect are the cireln's most shrouded secret. Would-be invaders do not need more reason to invade....

Their land is gone but what they guarded is not. The two Guardians now distribute the stones to those who need them... though living in the Southern Icefields sees little use for Cryel's stones. Some of them have become items of barter with those of warmer climates, much to her dismay.
