Kanagi
+ “Catacombe” the Ashmane Chimera
“Actually, I think you ought to be taught a lesson for your impudence.”

Charismatic and noble, Kanagi's presence is at once intimidating and calming. Her rational, sure-footed manner provides an air of security that draws others in, and she prides herself on looking out for the weak and vulnerable. She has a straightforward way of speaking and can be quite strict (she has no patience for insolence or back-talk), which- combined with her size- tends to make her come across as scarier than she means to be. Still, even when she's angry, she'll try to settle disputes with words before resorting to fangs or weapons. She strives for a world where everyone is treated fairly.

Kanagi's monocle conceals a magic eye that allows her to peer into the minds of anyone she sees, though she has to be within a certain range for it to work. With this, she can comb through one's thoughts and memories-- an ability that she uses to uncover the truth in muddy situations.

A longtime friend of Kanagi's, and one of the first dragons who Kanagi taught how to fight. Others may speak in hushed whispers behind their backs about an Imperial stooping so low to take a Pearlcatcher as her mate (or vice versa), but Kanagi pays them no mind.
