Sentient Art "There is but one honest limit to the rights of a sentient being; it is where they touch the rights of another sentient being." |

The artist was looking for a challenge. They were bored with all the usual materials, and sought something they had never worked with before. To that end, they went searching for a new type of medium… and found - deep in the wilds - what they thought was an unusual type of clay. The large barrel they filled was put into their cart and taken home. What the sculptor had unknowingly gathered from the ground was sentient sludge instead of clay. Talented hands formed it into a spiral using frozen bones and ice crystals for eyes. What they absolutely did not expect was for their creation to keep the body shape for its own and run away with it. Requiem doesn’t remember anything about the process he was put through to get an actual, solid body. He doesn’t even remember much about his life as the ooze he was before. All he knows is that one day he was aware of the world around him in an entirely different way and that he was overwhelmed by the new input he was receiving... and he was slowly falling apart. While he was on the run and desperate to find a way to keep this form so that he didn't fade away, Requiem heard about a place full of oddities and went to see if he could join up. He’s not sure what he is, but he wants to learn. And, until then, he needs a place that is understanding of his limitations and his occasional outbursts of random emotion, since those are new to him as well. Luckily Chaotic Daydreams has a lot of experience with new “dragons” and are happy to help him along his way. In addition, the various spirits and magic users in the lair were able to provide him with devices to produce cold that keeps his body from melting away from his bones and spirit. Without the worry of possibly fading away completely, Requiem is finding it easier to enjoy this new form and life. |
