About

Working along side Amethyst to make the Geode Goblet a hospitable and inviting tavern, Foo does his best work when in charge of the brewery. He specializes in mead, although he is capable of making other drinks. If the brewing process takes more than a few years, however, Foo will usually opt to import the drink. He does have a few barrels of wine he is letting age, however, mostly as an experiment.

Each batch of mead he makes uses a honey made on a different floor of the Garden. As a result, the tavern is well known for its 12 distinct flavors of mead; 11 based on the flight the honey would naturally be found in, and one made with the mixed leftovers of the others. They are as follows:

Fire Mead is, amusingly enough, vaguely spicy to anyone not used to it. Some dragons say it has warming properties, but others say that the effect is a combination of alcohol's ability to make one seem warm, and the placebo effect.
Nature Mead has a floral aftertaste to it, but is otherwise unremarkable. Occasionally, if the bees in the Nature Level target the more foul smelling flowers, the mead will be inedible, due to its remarkable similarity to rotting flesh.
Plague Mead is technically a drink you can order, but it has an asterisk under it's listing on the menu warning patrons that, while fairly tasty, it has a high chance of containing alcohol-resistant pathogens. Luckily, the only illness that anyone has contracted from the mead is a particular strain of rhinovirus known for its hardyness, contagiousness, and amusingly mild symptoms. Foo tends to avoid this drink, however, and wears hazmat gear when making it.
Earth Mead is sour and bitter, due to the cactus flowers making up the majority of the Source Honey's composition. It is the least popular drink to serve in the actual tavern, but one of the tavern's biggest exports due to its popularity in cooking, as heating it dulls the bitterness somewhat.
Ice Mead has a peppermint-y taste, and it's generally regarded as best had in small doses rather than big mugs. Many patrons say it is one of those flavors that are great, but get tiring quickly. Foo disagrees, along with any other ice dragon who visits the tavern.
Arcane mead is... an experience. Due to the properties of the flowers in the Starfall Isle making the honey unpredictable, the mead is understandably bizarre. People who order this drink are usually ordering it due to being dared to, because its reputation precedes it, or because they enjoy living on the edge.
Shadow Mead is surprisingly sweet, although its alcohol content is much higher than usual. It doesn't glow, but Foo likes to put little glowing sparkles into it to up the pizzaz.
Water Mead is refreshing, but often out of stock due to the majority of water flora being... non-flowering. Making honey out of such plants is hard, to say the least, and the tavern actually has to import it from the flight itself.
Lightning Mead is very similar to Earth mead, just much more bitter. While Dragonhome has a few flowering flora other than cactus to lighten the honey, Lightning has just cactus. Said cactuses have a high concentration of caffeine in them, so Lightning Mead is much like coffee in caffeination levels. Foo does not recommend substituting your morning coffee with a glass of mead, however, as productivity tends to go down when intoxicated.
Light Mead is about as average as one can get. While some may think this is unfortunate, is is actually a blessing for any dragon who isnt in the mood for anything special. No weird gimmicks or flavors to get in the way of enjoying a cup of mead with friends.
Wind Mead is similar to Light Mead, but has a strong aroma to it. It also tends to be a bit fizzy, although Foo isnt sure if thats the wind magic putting air where it shouldn't be, or some weird chemical reaction he hasnt managed to isolate. Either way, it makes the mead hard to make, so it is one of the more expensive ones (beaten only by Water Mead)
Mystery Mead is similar to arcane mead in its unpredictable taste, but that is pretty much where the similarities end. Due to it being a mix of the leftover honey, it is quite literally impossible to know exactly what youre going to get. The only reliable description one can give this drink is "Will get you drunk."
