೨ to be alone ৯
The room was faintly lit, and the clan leader was perched on the large table in the center, his neck arched so that he could inspect the warmap pinned down onto its surface. His tail flicked anxiously, and Alenixadi looked swiftly towards Yethr, who caught her worried glance and nodded in agreement.
"There's nothing we can do! We'll be surrounded by midnight and slaughtered by dawn," said the leader, quickly glaring behind him at the general, "unless you do something. So far all you've done is stare my wings right off my back and watch me fail to protect my people!"
"There's naught I can do," spoke Yethr, his wings sagging, "I'd say we hide in the bushes until they've made a ring about the land so that we'd have them surrounded instead, but they'd attack the villages and we haven't enough warriors to protect them. We have only to hope they fail to constrict us and fight them as best we can."
"That won't work!" the leader said, then turned towards Alenixadi, "You! What have you to say in the stead of your wondrous mate?"
"W-well," Alenixadi said, "what about our allies?"
"Our allies are off fending in their own war! We haven't helped them, so do you really think they'd come to our aid?"
"But, they... they're our only hope, sir! We're outnumbered and outclassed here. We'll never survive this battle!"
"Well then! I suppose we waddle right out onto their battlefield and politely ask they help us. Here, would you be an example? 'hello, leader of our allies who, like us, are also struggling to not be wiped out, we seem to find ourselves in a rather large amount of trouble, but would you please help us? Your last standing warriors might end up dead, but that's fine as long as we survive."
"It's all we can do, Sunderin! Or would you rather let your clan go without a fight?"
"We will fight! Just not with the Noctinas."
"Then we'll all die!" Alenixadi cried, turning to Yethr, of who she spoke to next: "my dearest! What have you to say about this?"
And in response, he merely sighed and said, "I think Sunderin's right. We can't risk being humiliated and lose our alliance in such a stupid manner." and so she grew angry, and she began to shake with it, and tears began to fall.
"We'll have those when we're dead, anyway!" she cried and exited the small room soon after, shivering as if it were mid-winter and horridly cold outside. Heads turned to witness this weeping creature as she stormed off into the dark of the forest, of which few return from.

FAMILIAR
Deir is terribly aggressive towards strangers, often warding off anyone who comes near to Alenixadi. He's always around her, whether following her from a distance or wound around her neck. She doesn't really pay much attention towards him and has never told him off for his behavior, which may explain the reasoning behind the continuous and various stunts he commits every day.
VISCOUNT ➟ the viscount often works alongside both the clan leader and the army generals. Their role is to advise, enforce the laws, and collect the offerings that dragons leave by their doorsteps each day. Most dragons, especially those who live in the Terramscatir sector, despise the viscount for "tax-collecting."
