Lore needs updating. Missing Vampire Castle and updates to Cave System
The Bay: Where the Matriarch and a band of dragons she trusts to be the "face" of the clan spend most of their days. They handle most of the trading, bartering, and beastclan fighting (coli team). A smaller portion of said group participate in pirating and jovial bar hopping. They base their port at an intersection between Arcane, Plague, and Wind. (Although they are "officially" a plague associated business.)
They take advantage of the commerce that is generated from a local canal that originates from the Water domain. Boats use the canal for swift passage, utilizing of the winds that pass through the Reedcliff Ascent. (Usually the boats are for carrying large amounts of cargo, or transporting dragons that have trouble crossing water. Sometimes it's just about discreet travel.)
The Forest: Betwixt Arcane and Plague, the clan discreetly plays along the border line. Magic here is corrosive and corruptive. Where mad scientist meets mad scientist. The parts of the Starwood Strand that reach this close to the Plague domain are rotted and twisted. They glow in sickly hues at night, or the bark of the trees is blackened. Things grow here, in spite of the magic imbued into the land.
When there is talk of dragons "becoming lost to the dangers hidden in the Starwood Strand's beauty," this is one such danger. It has a haunting beauty, but it is not quite the horrific sight that the Wandering Contagion provides. But many of those that wish to not be found, or for their failed experiments to be conveniently "lost," traverse this liminal space between domains.
For some areas, it is a permanent state of Autumn. The browning leaves and haunting vibes makes for a cozy abode for this part of the clan. Ghoula -- and patrolling clan members -- reside here, protecting the deeper part of the clan from wandering dragons. They politely turn them away, or offer them a service : curses, crafts, or cards; if they have the coin.
Dragons that stay here research the local fauna, and study alchemy theories for personal interest or to the benefit of the clan. They are also the primary source of gathering food for the clan, though some dragons from deeper parts of the lair come to help as well.
The Caves: An intricate tunnel system -- as dragons are want to do -- that hosts the second half of the clan. The tunnel system burrows deep into Plague territory, filled with glowing crystals and pulsing roots.
The deep reaches of the tunnels open up to large ceiling caverns, deeply embedded with intricate stonework architecture. The decorations are vibrant, yet show the deep admiration and pride for the Plague domain.
The caves show the underbelly of clashing magic: Arcane and Plague; raw magic taking shape within the earth.
The closest portion that resides at the mouth of the cave are referred to as The Shades. They blend in with the cave like ghosts, or even commune with the dead. Xylant and Rasmus are the dragons responsible for taking care of any departing dragons. Due to the nature and customs of Imperial dragons, Rasmus is in charge of the funerals for Imperials. Often times, he enlists the help of Alucard, a fire imperial, to cremate what they can of remains.
Levina, Benzaiten, and Abraxas are the resident Lightning dragons who help harness electricity for power, as well as helping make use of raw materials (such as conductive metals) that are found deeper within the tunnels.
The Ruby Caverns is the central hub of the cave system. The red and pink hues make it difficult to decipher if it is the influence of Plague, due to the more reddish glowing, or Arcane, due to the crystallized mutations within the caves. But that is what the dragons are there to find out. Along with analyzing any data they receive from the mouth of the cave, the Ruby Caverns study alchemy and Arcane experiments. Magic engravings covering the walls and artistic decorating mesh to create a homey and buzzing domain.
There is a theory that the dragons that spend the most time here have changed colors due to the intensity of magic within the crystals. Perhaps untrue, the red and pink dragons enjoy the rumor, and they dodge any questions regarding the topic.
If not for the Plague domain's pulsating aesthetics, the dragons here would have blurred any distinction between Arcane and Plague quite some time ago. Although they do not always show it, they are quite mad with power and knowledge.
Finally, within the deepest part of the caves is The Furnace. Or more accurately, The Forge. The name changes depending on which dragon you speak to. There are not many that dwell here, but they all have a purpose. Some are self explanatory with their job titles; for example, Eileifr is the Forgemaster, Marun is the Weapon Smith, and Ambrosia is the Jeweler.
Jupiter, on the other hand, is a Forge Priest. He blesses the weapons and armor made. He can spend hours explaining it in further detail.
Astareth, his wife, is a Forge Priestess, with a focus on her native element, Earth. She blesses the materials beforehand, and makes every step feel important and valued.
Eileifr is not a devout follower, but he nonetheless appreciates their presence, and he feels that they are essential part of the clan.
Sylvi is a Minerologist. Another dragon born from the Earth domain, and takes quite a different, yet equally passionate stance, on the materials that are found in the Furnace. Ambrosia consults her quite frequently about quality materials.
Firestar... eats lava. Or occasionally snacks on molten metals. He is unconventionally useful when expanding the tunnel system, since he will "sniff out" his preferred food.
