Biography

Maurice

Maurice, once an assassin by the name of Slither, has recently purportedly retired to become a restaurateur -- retaining his vast knowledge of poisons and natural remedies, but preferring to craft hearty pasta and seafood dishes over cold-blooded murders.

He was recruited by the Pearlcatcher nobility to join the clan and open a small yet exquisite restaurant on the castle's highest floor; however, reservations must be made in advance, as he is known to take mysterious One Assassination Long leaves of absence from his duties at the eatery. Leaf Jr. took interest immediately in the kitchen's occasional calls for part-time help, chopping vegetables haphazardly while staring up with glowingly adoring eyes, asking Maurice for advice and stories from his darker days. Impressed by the youngster's grit, enthusiasm, and knifework, Maurice may begin taking Leaf along for missions when Freddy deems the young Fae ready.

When he's not up to anything particularly nefarious, Maurice can be found cooking and cultivating grape blends for a small and closely guarded selection of wines to pair with his most exquisite meals.
