Biography

Oskeli is the leader and founder of the Tradewinds clan. Her clan mates stand aside when she comes through, giving her nods and chirps of respect. Finding an area to call her own was not easy. Of the many dragons that first settled in the Windswept Plateau, she was the only one without a companion. She wasn't concerned about it at first as she wanted to find a place to stay before anything. Her search came to an end as she found the perfect spot nestled between some hills and the perfect breeze filtering through. As she got closer she had found herself pinned against the grass, a royal Mirror staring her down. She squirmed under the larger dragon's claws but to no avail. They were just staring... all four eyes pin pointed on her small figure. They eventually laughed a bit and moved his claws from on top of her.

"You need to think fast if you are to start your own clan..~" She took the words into consideration. "We can share this land, since we both find it perfect!" She agreed to his offer and so was the start of the Tradewinds clan.

Months passed and their companionship turned into something more. Gavyn gifted her a solid gold necklace, a single jewel resting in the middle. As time progressed, they had much more mouths to feed than before. Her and Gavyn had decided that they should teach their eldest daughter the ropes of being a leader. This didn't turn in their favor however, their daughter only grew to resent becoming leader. They were brought to attention on how Myfina felt by their children and they left to talk with her. Myfina barely gave them a chance to talk before she roared at them that she hated them. Oskeli was shocked that her daughter would think of them this way. She tried to console her but was pushed away and Myfina was gone. Gavyn comforted Oskeli in the following days as she was utterly heartbroken. There was a dark cloud over the clan for a while until thier son, Fenrir, had decided that some of the clan go on a hunting trip to uplift their spirits after Myfina left. Her and Gavyn agreed and they set off, rather close to the Wandering Contagion of the Plague lands.

The trip that was supposed to end with all of them returning took a turn for the worst. A Darktouched Chimera that Gavyn was going to take back to the clan for food had killed him. Oskeli and her son were in shock as the creature darted off into the infected area. She lay with his body bawling rather loudly for many hours. Fenrir had stayed with her, grieving for his lost father. After a while he suggested that Gavyn be buried. She agreed sadly and helped him bury her mate. Fenrir had headed back to the clan once they finished, but Oskeli stayed a while longer. She stared for a long while at the tendrils that twitched and consumed everything in their path. Without thinking she made her way into the Wandering Contagion. She was desperate to find the creature that had slain her beloved mate and take revenge on it for causing so much heartbreak. For weeks she searched the area, not knowing that her own clan was suffering because of this. Her wings had given out on her from flying without resting and she fell right into the clutches of the tendrils. She tossed and turned to try and escape from their grasp but every time she moved they just grew tighter. She stared into the Plague sky and thought how this situation was just how she met Gavyn... her eyelids grew heavy and everything went black.

The sound of footsteps snapped her awake. She immediately began to squirm again forgetting that the tendrils were getting tighter. Before she knew it a pair of red eyes was staring her down. She stared back, she was scared and she just wanted to go home. She felt the tendrils loosen their grip, was.. was this dragon helping her? After they got the tendrils off of her they sat there as if waiting for her to fly away, but she couldn't. Her chest felt tight and her breathing quickened. Before she knew it she was scooped into the dragon's arms and they were off. Who was this strange dragon? She mumbled to him where her clan was before passing out yet again. When she woke she the first thing she saw was the rolling clouds of the Wind territory. She darted up and looked around noticing her daughter, Myfina, was at her side. Myfina sighed of relief when she saw her mother wake. She tried to speak but her daughter silenced her, telling her to save her strength. Myfina had left and came back with that Spiral that saved her.

She smiled, "Thank you for saving me stranger... I would have been a goner if you hadn't come along." The Spiral nodded along with her words. "You are welcome to stay here in my clan, after all I think that you would fit perfectly in."

The Spiral named Topaz agreed to her offer and promised to protect the Tradewinds clan no matter what. Since then she hardly ever leaves her clan and can often be seen perched on the stone tablet that she had made, giving respect to her childen and her mate, located at the entrance of the territory that she claims.
