Singed Webbing 		A hero is suppose to be someone good. Someone who helps. A hero doesn't ruthlessly kill and imprison those from the beastclans just for trying to survive. The bestclans have been pushed into a corner, and are doing whatever it takes to make it out alive. It would be wrong to attack them for it. The dragons don't need a hero; it's the beastclans who do. Diplomacy can only get one so far when the aggressors don't care about it.

Aegis doesn't want to be a hero, but she wants to start making things better. This will be the cause of her death, there's not doubt in her mind. Though, when Aegis reads the old histories, looks at stories older than dragonkind, she finds it doesn't matter. The world was made a worse place when the gods created dragons. A hero would make the gods pay.
