Instead he believes it's better to die early and then live on in memory. He doesn't believe all the talk from the faes about a better future, He wants to be remembered. Sure, being a hero of legend who ushered in a new era would be great, but it'd be just as good as being a villain who threw everything out of balance, someone who did what even the Shade couldn't do.

He's always been good at magic, and now there's a reason to improve even more. Being lethal, quick, and better than the best is now on his list of things to do. Hes also started researching what kind of power vacuum will a dead god leave behind; and if a mortal dragon could use that (lack of) power to... "Further improve" oneself.
