Phorcys, like most water dragons, can see the future. Though, perhaps "see" isn't quite the right word. Phorcys has aphantasia, making it difficult for him to see images mentally, so his prophecies primarily come to him audibly, rather than visually. He usually interprets these messages through poems and riddles, though it's unknown whether this is actually how his prophecies come to him or just his personal interpretation.

Some dragons in the guild find Phorcys infuriating, wishing he would give his prophecies in a more straightforward manner. Most generally agree that his unconventional way of giving prophecies can be confusing, but one dragon actually finds his poems helpful. Atoll's visions have a minimal amount of audio, but are extremely vivid visually. He's said that Phorcys's poems help him describe his own visions, and sometimes even make their imagery more detailed. With counseling from Nereus, Phorcys and Atoll have created some of the most accurate and detailed visions in the Guild. This partnership drew them closer together, and the two are currently dating each other.

Phorcys and Atoll spend most of their time studying magic and Draconian together. Phorcys helps Atoll use his water powers to sense the world around him and Atoll helps Phorcys with defensive water techniques. It's common to find them both in the Guild's library studying dictionaries together to learn more words to discover more words to better describe their visions. In their free times, they occasionally play Dungeons and Dryads, a popular role playing game, with Delphin and Atoll's sister Mariana, which is usually GMed by Nereus.
