Biography
The world was ever a strange place, Strife noted, with trinkets traded of oddments and items that she had 'acquired' through her travelling here and there; items that were never quite acceptable to keep in the Clan or something that Pox would look at and give her a disapproving glance. It all drew in for good and fair trade though. One thing swapped for another of equal value, that was the law of the land and nobody seemed to question it. Except, things were never fair. Her parents were always so supportive and pleasant, and they never once questioned when they lost a Son but gained a Daughter. Strife was their own and if she was happy as she was then why would they? An equal trade of gender, right? They both carried the same weight and the same value but it always did make her snout curl into a sneer when someone tried to 'bring light' to the subject that was barely even up for discussion. A little correction here or an off-comment there-- Some days, she did wonder if the passing clientele planned to leave the Plaguelands alive or if they wanted to be scavenged for parts and sold on to her less... reputable patrons (And of those, there were many). A polite smile only went so far before her cherry red face and pastel pink claws would draw wells upon wells of dulcet crimson; for the customers of course. There were a few within the Clan that had issue but never did it get voiced to her face and never once did her Clan Leader reprimand her for taking such actions. "If the world cannot accept you for who you are, Strife," Pox would explain with her scarred visage twisting unpleasantly, "Then you are under no obligation to offer it such kindness for the moments where it does rear it's ugly head." With permission like that, it was no real wonder that she laid contently with a collection of leather Frills that looked... suspiciously like they belonged on the head of a Bogsneak at her claws; cleaning them contently as her lover tilts her head in mild, yet, morbid curiosity. A huff of faint amusement trickles through as the Imperial of red leans down to brush her snout into the plethora of feathers at the back of Strife's head affectionately then returning to her own tasks to claw. Sure, life wasn't always sunshine and rainbows but it isn't exactly like she doesn't have it pretty well made here. |
