Biography

When Lyra’s egg hatched the sky was so full of stars that some fell and landed on her wings; or at least that’s what she liked to tell curious hatchlings when they visited. It had been awhile since she had any visitors, too long had she sat along in her den with her eyes on the stars above. Her den was comfortable, quiet, with a glass ceiling so she could stare up at the stars whenever she wished. The usually calming quiet felt oppressive when she was left alone for so long.

When was the last time she ate?

With a sigh that stirred a thin layer of dust that had been collecting on the ground she stood, picking herself up off the floor so she could wander to the measly space she called a kitchen. She sifted through the tiny stockpile of food that was left; she really needed to get out more. The idea of leaving her little home made her far more uncomfortable than she would ever admit, but it was a necessary evil when she lived so far from other dragons. So, with a huff and a few grumbled swears, she slipped a scarf around her neck and snatched a basket up with her jaws before leaving the place she called home.

The world around her little home was much different than she last remembered, perhaps it had been too long since she’d left the den. Where as she used to see the familiar, deep purple ground that she had grown up on around her den it seemed now that the wandering contagion had spread even farther into shadow territory. The stars had not warned her of this, though she was sure she would be the first to know of any territorial disputes. Along with the advance of the thick red tendrils was the loss of a clan; it seemed those who once settled down on the edge of shadow territory had finally moved on.

With a sigh she continued on her way into shadow territory for the foods she so commonly ate. It was never hard to find food, not for someone who wasn’t picky at least. However, it became a much greater challenge when little faes darted in front of her, missing her face by mere inches while they scratched and screamed at each other. Who knew there would be a day when fae ran fearlessly through the woods.

Chuckling to herself she made her way back to her den, once again settling below the constellations that hung far above. Perhaps another nap was in order; it would be nice to see what the world had to offer once she woke up.
Not sure if it came across or not, but my take on her character is that she's essentially a sort of fallen star turned dragon who spends most of their time observing the other stars in hopes of gleaning messages from them. She also spends a lot of time asleep, and is essentially imortal.
