BIOGRAPHY “So how exactly did you find it?” The Wind dragon asked, swishing the herb juice in her claws. “Let’s just say I got… lucky.” He lowered his voice. “I started as a collector like any other Ice dragon. However, I was also raising my sickly younger sister, so merely trading found goods with fellow collectors wasn’t enough. Which was why I became a merchant.” He took a draw from his cigar. “I went from scooping up junk from the crevices of snow mountains to actively looking for treasures. I would sell them, and the profits somewhat paid off.” Her eyes twinkled. “Did you uncover the sword in a pile of treasure as well?” “Well more or less.” The Ice dragon shrugged. “I fought someone for it. I killed them and won over the sword.” “Huh?” “Yeah…” “I don’t think you should lie now, after what you did three years ago.” The Ice dragon laughed. “I’m telling the truth. Well, I didn’t win the battle fairly. Let’s just call it… assassination in a desperate situation. A foolish move that I immediately realized afterward, but I needed the treasure. The winter was especially harsh that year and we traded almost everything for warmth, food, and shelter. My sister was getting worse. I thought we couldn’t last through it.” The Ice dragon looked outside the window as he paused his story. His companion was quiet as well, out of respect. “We did.” He blinked. “We made it through, without even selling the sword. But our resources were also depleted. It was when I came up with a plan to make a profit out of the sword.” The female Nocturne nodded: “You made a scam.” “Well, it wasn’t just me. I teamed up with a professional conman, promising to share half of the profit with him if he could help me create a perfect hoax around the sword. We would make money selling Arena tickets.” “I’d imagine the plan worked better than expected.” The Ice dragon chuckled. “Well, initially, as you’ve already known. When everything was revealed, I was the only one being hunted. I took my sister to a clan on the Crag, and convinced them to adopt her, so I could safely distance my identity from her. Then I went into hiding. I ran from domain to domain, disguising myself as much as possible.” “I guess that has something to do with the staff?” “Yeah. It does have magic though, but yes it is vital to my mage disguise.” The Wind dragon’s voice was concerned. “And your sister?” “Glad you asked about that, because it was the only good thing that’s ever come out of this hell. The last time I visited her, she was happily married to a member of the clan. She was living a fulfilled life, more than she could ever have been living with me. I don’t think I will be seeing her any time soon, though.” Summergale said: “I’ll help you meet her some day.” Smoke was slightly taken aback. “I don’t think I should-” “You can believe in me and my ability to protect you.” Summergale’s eyes were beaming with confident. “Even when I can’t pick up a sword, I’m still pretty good at throwing knives. And we can find you a proper mage. An Arcane one. How about that?” Smoke looked down. “You’re very kind.” “I mean, provided that you're not tricking me.” “What if I am?” “Then let's duel right here, right now.” Smoke took out a locket from his belongings. “This is my sister.” Summergale's gaze was gentle. “She's beautiful.” It was the end of spring when the two souls met and their fates intertwined. They were the first dragons who set foot on the destined skyship that took off from the Shifting Expanse. | x |

Even those from the Jadebolt Manor, who occasionally travel to the Island to trade goods. They rely on him to sell their creations. Some say that he hangs out with them more than his own students. Unfortunately, he eventually came to face the realization that he may never see his sister ever again. What a sad situation to be in.
