 Ember's parents were Anand of the Ice flight and (F)ire of the Arcane flight. She was born in a mighty lair on the Snowsquall Tundra, but in spite of this, she was always fascinated by blazing volcanoes of the Ashfall Waste, and when she was old enough, she ventured there.

She took a roundabout route over the sea, passing the Magmablood Rebuke and steering wide of the Flintlock Fumaroles, as the toxic smoke from those geysers would kill a dragon not born of fire, and landed in Emberglow Hearth.

It was there she met Enfys, also curious about his species' birthplace. In the heat of the magma vents, a romance blossomed, and she followed him to the Starfall Isles, where she had their first nest of hatchlings, Eldareskaraex, Zylen, and Norborne.

Differences between the two drove them apart for a while, during which time Enfys met Rosetta, and Ember met Joash. She had one hatchling with Joash, Ravi, before that relationship fell apart also, and she returned to Enfys to try again.

A second nest with him produced two hatchlings, but though they loved each other, they found they could not share a lair. Since then, she has not looked for anyone else, but contents herself with her work as an apprentice goldsmith.
