Biography

RF8X5XC.png

Jambit is what many dragons would call "truly wild", not caring at all for contemporary dragon society, she prefers the simplicity of her precarious territory and her life of hunting/scavenging for food without the problems that come with clans and a social lifestyle in general. Living in the deepest, most deadly depths of the Viridian Labyrinth, this odd plague dragon only cares for her survival, except for her little corn snake charge of course, which she spoils to bits.

Finding herself comfortable around dragon-eating carnivorous plants and a variety of poisonous plants and venomous animals, she lives her life mostly by herself, having a small den filled with treasures she finds from the remains of travelers who's lives were unfortunately ended by the deadly flora and fauna. Jambit was born from a plague egg that was meant to have been consumed by a voracious plant, but rather hatched and found a home in this murderous birthplace.

She collects bones, feathers and scales that catch her eye on the sparsely traveled paths in her domain. Though treasure and gems hold no value to her, their shininess makes her keep them in a small hoard, the only reason being they are pretty to look at. She doesn't have any interest in the silks and armour and other such apparel that other dragons wear, and instead adorns herself in the trophies of her kills and plants of hazardous ability.

Though she sees contemporary dragons with obvious disdain, she never attacks them, and instead warns them away from her territory with her terrifying presence. Having grown up alone, her ability to speak in common draconic is quite limited, but she never has trouble getting her point of danger across to trespassers. Nonetheless, if a traveler does get into sticky situation with one of her precious carnivorous plants, she may rescue them if she's in a good mood.

Jambit very rarely leaves her home. When she does, it's to trade her rare plants in exchange for plants she doesn't have access to in the Viridian Labyrinth. She spends most of her time painstakingly cross-breeding flora to create deadlier varieties of plants to spread around her home. Most dragons talk in hushed tones about the mysterious guardian, as she hisses at on-lookers who stare for too long.

Though Jambit doesn't like other dragons all that much, she is quite interested in Bellacrux, a Gaoler who hatched near her territory a little bit before her. They, though at first having displayed hostility at eachother and even fought eachother, grew to almost enjoy eachother's presence. The two had come from similar origins, abandoned eggs who were meant to die but found a place for themselves in such a vicious environment.

According to curious dragons, she and Bellacrux have been observed courting eachother in the form of sharing their kills/finds, playful sparring and even Jambit "braiding" Bellacrux's mane with feathers, bones and even some of her collected treasures. Though the two don't interact that often, it seems to be becoming a more common occurrence, their interactions being described as "loving and curious of eachother". They consider themselves a pair, though never really know what to describe themselves as.
