Travelers became aware of the mystical place where it was always Spring, and where the lake sung in a bewitching voice. Much like the Wood which Valley had left so long ago, the Vale gradually attracted more visitors, and then more still.

But, unlike the Wood, there was nobody there with a vested interest in making it a tourist destination. Instead, the two fey summoned a guardian to protect the Vale.

Kel took up the role, coming from afar to live amongst the strange little village. In time, Oriphe accepted him and he made his permanent home under the water with her.

He takes to the air to patrol the area around the Vale each and every day, then returns to the lake to learn more from his obelisk teacher.
