Lila

Lila was among the first three outside hatchlings to be welcomed to the clan, the other two being Ghost and Neo. She was sent from a nearby clan that, sadly, did not have the room for yet another fully grown dragon. Tetti and Yael, already preparing for three hatchings of their own, took her in and helped her choose a name. This proved to be much harder than choosing a name for Ghost as it became apparent very quickly that little Lila had already developed a keen sense of style and taste.

Lila does not take interest in foraging, exploring, and gathering as Tetti and Yael had, though she will accompany them to the coliseum if asked. She instead prefers to stay behind and make sure everything is running smoothly while they're out, essentially taking the position of second in command. After all, someone has to make sure Neo doesn't set something on fire, all the familiars are fed, and that the hatchlings don't drag dirt through the lair again. She has an eye for detail, knowing when even a single gold piece goes missing and spotting even a speck of dust in a dark corner, but can't seem to multitask to save her life. Not that it bothers her, she simply goes through life one meticulous step at a time.

It was during one of these meticulous steps, checking that all members of the clan were accounted for during a terrible storm, that she met her future mate. She heard a voice calling out from the gale, searching for some ally to protect them from being tossed to their death by the wind. Leaping into the torrential rain and flying toward the voice, Lila waved her lantern about in hopes the traveler might spot it. As fate would have it, she spotted them first. She saw a bright light blinking in the pouring rain and, assuming it to be the lost traveler, called out for them to follow. She led the stranger back to the lair, dodging obstacles that the blinding rain made invisible to those unfamiliar with the landscape. Finally touching down at the entrance and shaking off the worst of the damp, Lila was given her first look at the traveler. The drenched skydancer looked at her with glowing primal eyes, shivering in his golden apparel. Lila could instantly see his rank, and knew his position to be one of an ambassador or similar. Yet still she couldn't stop herself from berating him for his foolishness before inviting him to rest in the lair and enjoy a hot drink.

After sending him off the next morning with Aquamarine as a guide, Lila never expected to see Constantine again. She was quite surprised when he returned a week later with a gift. She was even more surprised when he returned yet again, and again, until she became less surprised and more expectant. She enjoyed his visits and looked forward to them, but she knew that working as an ambassador for the Light Flight kept him quite busy. She was overjoyed when he proposed becoming a permanent ambassador to the Arcane Flight, lessening his need for travel though not eliminating it entirely, she was ecstatic when the Lightweaver approved his request, but the best change of all was when he joined the clan and the two chose each other as mates. Though Constantine still must travel at times, Lila knows he will always rush back, and she will be there when he does.

[Familiar swapped because it was awakened, and will be back when others are awakened] Lila's familiar is a lovely black swan that Tetti found for her. It often follows her around, holding on to whatever she hands it or chasing away anyone who might try to disrupt her task. While Lila does not intentionally dress to match her companion, it tends to happen anyway. What can she say? She has a flair for the dramatic.
