Cycle of Life
"A rebirth out of spiritual adversity causes us to become new creatures."

The circle of life is one that has fascinated dragons beyond counting over the eons. Studies of all sorts have uncovered amazing ecosystems and some truly awe-inspiring creatures; science is forever finding new sides to nature and its dance.

Just when those same scientists think they have a good handle on things, and that they don’t have much more to learn, something like Kriss comes along. The spiral seems to encompass the entirety of the birth to death cycle in one creature. His body appears as the perfect balance between growth and decay.

Kriss is eternally being renewed. His body is constantly shifting with decay, new growth, and yet somehow perfectly balanced life. His wings act like the leaves on plants, drawing sustenance and energy from the light of the sun. His body ripples with constant evolutions of bacteria and decay. New spikes are always growing and dropping out; and it was found that they can be used for boosting the growth of an ailing plant in a garden by killing whatever parasite is eating away at it.

While Kriss is viewed with awe and fear by many, he himself just feels like a normal dragon. He cannot say how his life is different from others, since he has never been anything but what he is. After he’d gotten tired of being poked and prodded by a constant parade of new researchers, he ran away and found himself a haven at Chaotic Daydreams. Here, he is treated like the feeling, sentient being he is and not a science experiment.

While he does not mind answering questions of his friends, he is glad that - for the most part - he is left to just find his place in this world. Besides, it’s really nice to have every single one of the gardeners in the clan see him as a treasure.
