Gambler | Knave | Magician
"Wait, wait! There seems to be a misunderstanding--"
His back hit the dirty street before he could get another word out, the bearded guardian glaring before she slammed the bar door. Gimmick huffed, straightening out his hat and checking his cards. All fifty-two in their place. What bad sports, kicking him to the curb after such an invigorating game. He smiled to himself, snatching at pouch of treasure form his coat pocket. His opponents were so focused on his phony hand that he had done them the favor of relieving their pockets' weight. In all honesty, he didn't seem worried until two guards were roaming the streets of the Murkbarrow Close, holding a paper with his face on it. Oh no... no. This simply cannot do. How is a man supposed to engage in trickery if the whole city is out for him? No... this calls for something drastic. This calls for total relocation. The Sunbeam Ruins were far too bright, The Tidelord's Sea too wet, Dragonhome too dry, and The Scarred Wastle far too malodorous. Everything else would be awfully taxing for his wings to travel. So, now he stood before an unamused brown Skydancer, who looked his glittering cloak up and down. "So, you say you are a... fortune teller? Is that right?" he asked, brows furrowing from under his garb. "Oh yes," Gimmick replied, "Only the best." His gold tooth glinted in the Labyrinth's sunlight. This was going to be so much fun. |
