Ghost

Ghost was among the first three outside hatchlings to be welcomed to the clan, the other two being Lila and Neo. Ghost was a hatchling from the plague flight who's family did not think would be able to survive in the wasteland, thought him too weak to take the struggles the harsh landscape would present. Though Ghost will never know if he would have been able to survive in the plague flight, the rest of the clan don't doubt for a moment. He may quiet, but he is strong. Tetti and Yael, already preparing for three hatchings of their own, took in the meek red-eyed youngling and helped him choose a name. This took surprisingly little time, as Yael, presenting the option as a joke based off of Ghost's coloration and pattern, did not expect the little hatchling to give a solemn nod of approval. Ghost indeed liked the name, it felt like it had power. As a child who had be shunted out for being too weak, it felt like what he needed. Though Ghost has long since gotten past that need, he still loves his name for more sentimental reasons.

Ghost, interest sparked by Tetti and Yael helping him pick his own name, helps any without names to choose names of their own. He keeps a list, ever adding to it, to give plenty of options to hatchlings and grown dragons alike. Ghost developed a love of writing in general. He enjoys keeping the records of the clan, writing his own stories, and transcribing stories anyone cares to share. He used to read these stories to the hatchlings himself to help them fall asleep, using Neo's gift of a lantern as both reading lamp and nightlight, but now lends them to Angela to read instead. Ghost's current pet project is serving as chronicler to those dragons of their clan that came to join later in life. Clifton and Aquamarine have shared many adventurous tales while Constantine's stories consist more of politics and the working of the upper echelon of their society. Ghost takes no preference and records them all, slowly but surely building the clan's library.

[Familiar swapped because it was awakened, and will be back when others are awakened] Tetti gifted Ghost his familiar, a rosetail. The little caiman keeps him company while he writes and edits, sometimes late into the night. It will nip at whatever parchment he is working on if he gets too engrossed in his work to remind him to keep aware of his surroundings. At first, Ghost found this to be an annoying, if not endearing, habit. However, when it ended up preventing a minor disaster in which lyric would have ended up spilling soup across the stack of parchment he was working on, he no longer minded it in the least.
