- the only surviving child of atsartovus and teistaba, having been taken away as a baby and sent north to a labyrinthian plantation
- her parents had tried to lead a failed rebellion to overthrow a tyrannical family in the far western ruins
- their older (adopted) son was taken prisoner, and the rest of their kids sent away
- parents were magically enchanted to keep them docile, and could not find any way to track down their kids

- sent to the labyrinth
- trained as a warrior by dragons who were on the tyrant's payroll
- never knew exactly what happened to land her there, but was told that her parents decided to let their kids take their punishment to escape their own
- resented her parents for this, and tried to relish in the violence of her position as if that'd prove them wrong
