Our escapee of ice. Frost blooms where he walks. He eyes our gaolers with suspicion. Never would we dare send him back where he came. His knowledge is too valuable, his claws far better with us than against us.

He speaks not of his time in the Icewarden’s care. What he did, why he did it. What twisted magic cracked his soul. But he will tell us the favored gifts of that frozen land, their weaknesses, their strengths. Less an emissary, more an informant.

We all make do.
