Biography
Named after the courageous wolf-dog Douglas; it’s a name given only to those who have overcome a great challenge. Few receive such an honor, and it’s of great importance not to dishonor his name. Is this dragon up to the task? Douglas came to Clan Monsoon on the order of Comet in order to solve Duneberry's overcrowding problem. He accepted and made his new home in the Starfall Isles. He immediately took charge of the job of protecting the clan alongside Spara. The enhanced magical energy of the Isles were unusual to Douglas, who had spent most of his life in the dense jungle. After a brief adjustment period, Douglas became proficient in harnessing arcane magic to bolster his attacks. His life in the clan was calm and uneventful until Primatic's incident. While the Banescale was a threat to the safety of the clan, Douglas had faith in Zamilo's plan to visit the Arcanist. Douglas's familiar, with whom he shares a name, was given to him when he won a tournament back in Clan Duneberry. The wolf-dog is courageous and follows Douglas into any battle. Douglas considers the canine a brother.
Personality
Douglas is everything an ideal warrior should be: brave, virtuous, a strong sense of justice, and selfless. He can be found in the wilds of the Starwood Strand, battling a variety of magical creatures to bolster his strength and resolve, as well as sparring with his close friend Spara. He is admired by most in the clan, but this admiration comes with a price. Beneath his brave and unshakable exterior, Douglas feels he has to carry the heavy burden of defending the clan from any dangers by himself in order to keep up the image of the steadfast warrior. Spara and his familiar, Douglas, are the few he confides in. |
