Biography
and now youre in the stars and six feets never felt so far
x
his body is perpetually misting, bits of it turning to twisting shadow and smoke. parts of him are frozen, coated in ice. his breath is wafting and equally smoky, making a faint whistling noise as it escapes his throat. perhaps his innards are frozen too, like how the outside of him is.
he hears you coming. he turns.
old myth states that these were the deadliest of beasts.
but this one does not hold any of their notorious aggression. at least not anymore. he drags his raw eyes up your body, taking in the new sight. possibly calculating; or possibly just so out of it. his eyes are shallow and deep-sunk in his skull, like he hasn't slept in millennia. possibly from nightmares or punishment; or both.
instead of growling, or hissing, or baring his charcoal teeth and purplish gums -- his shoulders start heaving. large, shaking inhales of breath. a deep inhale, and shaky exhale, making the signature whistling noise that the surviving ninth kings war wraiths were said to make; their lungs were near frozen after the war, and as as a result air could not properly escape them.
the wraith crumples in on himself, sinking to the ground, face in his hands. his legs splay wherever they see fit when he meets the ground. there is no premeditation or plan for his actions. there is no cunning trick, like there may have been with him many decades ago. it is pure melancholy and exhaustion.
he presses his back against a tree, burying his face further in his hands. his shoulders heave and tremble.
you don't need it to speak to know that it is mourning. seemingly... your arrival. you.
oh god he does not say, but you can practically hear it in his body language. oh god oh god oh god
