Biography
A dragon egg found by Shadow while scavenging for gems.
Unsure of what to do, and unable to leave it behind, he returned to the Hive with the egg gently nestled in his basket with the gems.
The Hive had never seen a dragon egg before. They were unsure of what to do; their own eggs formed magically in their incubation pool.
Chirp and Myst decided to place the egg into the incubation pool in hopes that it would hatch. The magic of the den altered the growing hatchling within the egg as the shell began to darken, slowly turning black as if it had been one of their own.
After a couple of days, the egg cracked, and a strange hatchling pushed its way out.
Her body was black, as the magic of the Hive had transformed her into one of their own, but she retained some of the traits she would have had as a regular dragon: a new set of genetics to be utilized, adding to their chances of long-term survival.
She was their second successful assimilate.
