S N O W D R O P

It was during the middle of winter when they were born, the snowfall thick upon the ground as it hid all signs of life beneath a blanket of white. Still, there was celebration as the Crystalline Gala began and it was to the wonder of the festival that two Skydancers first opened their eyes.

Aesop hummed curiously as the first of the twins emerged from her egg, followed closely by her sister. He and his mate waited with anticipation for their children to manifest the unusual abilities characteristic of most half-faerie offspring born from their union. It was odd that these children seemed normal. At least at the beginning. It was not until the twins were separated that their abilities revealed themselves. . .

Unlike her twin sister, Snowdrop has always been riddled with bad luck while those around her are miraculously blessed with good fortune. A mirror opposite of her sibling, Snowdrop absorbs misfortune like a sponge and has become a weak and sickly dragon as a result. Still, her abilities grant those she blesses with enough fortune to conquer terminal diseases or bring life to crops that might otherwise fail to grow.

She carries one of her sibling’s feathers to negate the effects of her ability, but still finds herself setting the feather down often to help those in need. Visitors come long distances to seek her help and she often obliges, despite the detrimental effects it has on her own wellbeing.
