Biography
Long ago, in the Sunbeam Ruins, there was a small cove in The Hewn City, just barely visable to anyone and was not shown on any maps.
On January 25th, a smallish, speckled Skydancer hatchling egg shifted, destined to be hatched soon in the future, It's mother gently waiting for it to hatch.
The nest was located on this small beach. It was quiet, and the ocean waves lapped at the dragon's claws.
One of the eggs shook, then another and another!
The stronghearted mother, who's name was Ink, watched intently.
One by one, the eggs crackled and shook. Minutes out of the eggs, the hatchlings rolled around, playfully nipping at each other's wings and squealing with excitement.
Their mother was in love with every single one of them, although in her heart she knew..
She would have to give them up.
She couldn't take care of them. She had responsibilities to her lair.
Moon rose, swallowing up the dragons in it's pale, cold light.
Their first day out of the egg.
She was so proud of them. She knew they would grow up strongly in some other lair, possibly some going to have great responsibilities for their new home or even have families of their own!
But she wouldn't get to see them again.
The next morning, she picked up the hatchlings within her jaws, gently setting them in the nest.
She nuzzled them all gently.
"I love you. I hope one day..." Ink couldn't continue her words.
She turned her back away, flapping her wings and taking off, leaving them on their own.
~
One of the dragonets woke up just in time to see her flying away.
One named Inkwell. She chirped quietly, calling for her.
"Awrk?"
No answer. She tried again in the quiet stillness.
"... Mommy?"
