The Assassin

Atticus was trained to be an assassin from a young age. There is no other way to put it--this dragon excels in his skill set, especially being undercover. At once point, he was tasked to take out a royal in a prominent fire clan kingdom. This required gaining the trust of said royal in a long-term play by Atticus. The skydancer even had children in the role he crafted for himself in the kingdom. One of them, Kauri, even grew to be a court mediator.

The assassin made sure that Kauri was on assignment elsewhere when his ploy came to fruition. In the aftermath that followed the assassination, Atticus fled, constantly on the move for what felt like weeks. Only did the skydancer's hackles relax when he happened upon Apophis' pirate crew, who offered him a place on their ship.

Atticus participates in much less "taking out" these days. But his strategic and undercover skills serve valuable to the crew, who sometimes feel despite knowing the skydancer's story, that they know very little at all. The only exception is the runaway royal, Rootwire, who, against Atticus' better judgement, he may have gotten too close to.
