HARVEST

FEL WARLOCK

SPOTIFY • YOUTUBE

Bearing natural gifts of fertility and growth, Harvest is renowned for their aid in saving failing crops and plants. Touched by the Shadowbinder as a hatchling, at a time where her flight was in desperate need of new hatchlings, they were given the blessing of encouraging new growth. Their Nature Flight heritage would only make the magic stronger. Dragons who struggled with fertility would find solace and luck when Harvest visited and spent time with them. They were often on the road, searching through the Tangled Wood for dragons and fields in need of their aid.

While Harvest was beloved by all of Shadow Flight, they were often found to be shy and reticent, even when being thanked for their work. Deep, deep down, within the bramble thicket of their heart, they only wished to be loved, by one who truly saw who they were. Perhaps that is what led them to Bayer; a goofy coatl, full of life. They were enamored with him. While Bayer reciprocated at first, he couldn't keep up with Harvest's nomadic lifestyle, their immense power and skill with magic. Harvest wept for days after he left, their tears wilting the wildflowers below. Perhaps they would never find someone to be by their side.

Harvest likes long walks in the woods, and listening to all the creatures in the trees. - WRITTEN BY UNKNOWN

It was no secret that Harvest was more than a proficient magic user, however their time spent among the flora and wildlife of Sornieth told them that there was much they still didn't know. Being a patron of the forests, the trees would often reveal many abandoned structures to Harvest, who was now more than willing to seek out their contents. One such structure reeked of impure energy, even though it was now decades old. It had a sense of familiarity, though, which was what drew Harvest in. The dilapidated structure resembled an observatory, similar to those of Arcane origin. Upon further inspection, it had a sizeable library, although most of it was battered by exposure to the elements. The energy was stronger here, and Harvest raised their barriers to avoid potential harm.

One rat-chewed tome radiated an aura that felt slightly more powerful than that of the surrounding books. Harvest pulled it out, noting its large size and weight, and placed it on a nearby table in a puff of dust. The mysterious runes covering its face glowed a soft green and purple when Harvest brushed the remaining dust off. They read the runes, and realised that they were an old version of modern Draconian. A bit difficult to understand, but not impossible for the well-educated Guardian.

"The Magick & Arcana of Fel" Harvest mumbled aloud. Opening the book, they sensed an unpleasant yet familiar energy, once again. Letting down their guard just a bit, Harvest could feel the presence of Nature and Shadow magic. However, something was... "off" about this energy. It felt warped, two different magics forcibly fused and at constant odds with each other. But then again... with a bit of practise and endurance, Harvest could turn it into something both beautiful and powerful. They had always been known for their fertility magic, and while powerful, it was nothing one could win a battle with. This... this, however, was just what they needed.

Harvest quickly got to work studying and practising this Fel magic. Due to their excellent aptitude for magic, they no longer felt the energy surrounding the area to be uncomfortable, but found it to be akin to a warm, welcoming hug. Their inherent Shadow element and Nature heritage made it all too easy to fall into the trap of toying with ancient magic that was best left forgotten to time.

The days turned to months as Harvest continued honing their skills in Fel. They had almost forgotten their loneliness when the beat of feathered wings sounded not too far overhead. It had been so long since Harvest had seen another dragon, not since Bayer and their two children left them. Harvest shot into the air, looking for the source of the noise. It was too late; whatever or whoever it was had already flown away.
