Corrupt lightning engineers built a machine that could summon the greatest thunderstorm Sornieth has ever seen. A storm that would decimate their enemies' lands, wiping out everything those heretic deities had built so they could terraform those lands in favour of Stormcatcher.

In their eyes, the only dragons who mattered were those who flew with the storm. Their plan might have succeeded if their own brilliant minds didn't bring their own downfall; to make sure their machine would be a perfect showcase of what the lightning was capable of, they gave the machine the dragon-like artificial intelligence. They were too wrapped up in their own brilliance and intellect that they didn't think the machine would go against them.

First, their plan did almost succeed. But upon seeing all the life she would have to destroy, Typhoon went against her creators and refused to listen to them. Some of them managed to run away, going into hiding from their own creation in fear of her wraith.

Typhoon herself swore to protect the land she was created to destroy.
