Shurima

Born in the shadows and no one to call friend Shurima was always an outcast to those that tried to get close to her. One fateful day her power awoke. Leaving a devasting blow to her home. She had to leave quick lest a council tried to exalt her. Shurima was not opposed to serve the Shadow mother but she did not feel like she deserve a punishment for something that was out of her claws.
As Shurima was nearing the Driftwood Drag she could see it. The Goop from her. The Shadowbinder. Shurima had no choice. She jumped. She hit the water just in time. For right behind her was Her. The Shadowbinder.

"Come out little one. Your power was not meant to be. You must return to right the wrong you must return back to me now." The Shadowbinder said to you.

"I will not. I did nothing wrong." You say definitely.

"Your power was NOT meant to be you must return back so i may devour you."

You look back at her realizing that she had yet to come in the water. realization hits you.
"You can not come into the water. You fear the Tidelord."

At this you notice the Shadowbinder roar and you know you have her beat.

"Little one, mind you that I will catch you. I will have spies waiting for you to make a mistake and once you do you will be back in my clutches and i will not show you any mercy. Is that what you want?" She asks you with that look that you are so familiar with.

"I think you know my answer Shadowbinder. You hold me responsible for a mistake. A mistake is what you call it. A mistake that was all you. I should not have to go back to the void because you chose to meddle in there. No i will never return there." You say as you dive down. As you dive you descend deeper until at last you can not hear her roar. As you dive deeper you pass out.
As you awake you see a Ridgeback over you.

"Where is your clan?" he asks you.

"None." You say with as much effort as you can muster.

"Well then why dont you come with me.

"As he says that he puts you on his back and swims to a nice little area. And once you arrive you pass out.

A Few months have passed and since then you have been weak. One day you finally get your strength back. You assume that encountering the Shadowbinder is what left you drained. You decide to leave your little resting spot so you can start building back up your strength.

"Is that her mama?"
You turn your head to see a dragon with what looks like a map on her and a little hatchling next to her pointing at you.

"Yes my little one, but come along now we must not delay." The mother said.

"Oh mama i cant wait to go serve the Tidelord, lets go then." At that the mother and the hatchling continue on their way.
As you are looking around you notice dragons of all sort in this clan. Some look battle ready. You assume they are heading on their way to train. You see some motherly dragons. You notice as you are walking or swimming that your eyes begin to drip ichor again. You look around and as your eyes notice an egg hatching out pops out a hatchling. But the hatchling's eyes are not dripping with ichor, but with water swirling around them.
The parents gasped, and everyone near the new parents looked over. You close your eyes and wait for it. The dragons going in a panic but instead you hear "My child you have been blessed!"
You look over the the father picking up the hatchling and smiling a genuine smile. You notice him smiling and crying.

"Well Colossos looks like the Tidelord is pleased with this one." The dragon next to him said. You assume this is his mate.

"Well then, lets see if we can't find a nice home for this one. What do you say little one?"
The little hatchling seemed to like this idea for it gave a great big smile.
As you finally pulled your eyes from the happy parents, You notice dragons looking at you and you start to feel your eyes stop dripping ichor. And you wait for it again. The panic or the rushing to whoever is in charged and demand this monstrosity be sent away, but no. No one seems bother by it and all the dragons go about their business. You start to come to the conclusion that dragons here are not even phased by your abnormality and you start to notice more abnormal dragons.
As you are swimming around more you run into the same Ridgeback that rescued you.

"Ah so she is awake. Nice to see you out. I was just about to ask someone to see if you were alive. Are you enjoying your stay?" He cocks his head to the side as he says this.

"Yes im enjoying myself. But the oddest thing happened. If you don't mind me asking why is it that that hatchling is not being sent to your deity? It is an abomination." You say as you point to the new hatchling with swirling eyes and the parents.

You notice all friendliness from this dragon is gone and you see rage.

"Why would you think that? Are you aware that those kinds of eyes are an honor here? Do you really think that hatchling is such a monster that it should be sent back to it's Deity for something he has no power over?" The Ridgeback says with as much control as he could muster.

"Well I'm the one that gave him those eyes though." You say quietly. At this the Ridgeback starts to laugh.

"Then thank you." He says. " You really must of had a scare to have the Shadowbinder following you. Plus whoever told you that your an abomination for your eyes dripping ichor is wrong. And yes i did see your eyes drip ichor. You should embrace it. It is your right and honor to embrace your flight. But enough said i came to collect you to head to our Sovereign. She wishes to meet you. Are you strong enough to swim?"

You nod.

You eventually come to a circle with some dragons around. As you look around you notice a dragon that seems to have glitter or tattoos on thier wings. Another dragon that seemed to have a staff and to raidiate with magic. You see another dragon with what looks like orange smoke comeing with his claws. But the one that holds your attention the most is a guardian that is huge. She looks down at you.

"Thank you Torin that is all." She says to the Ridgeback.

"Zylah this is unnecessary. Just send her back to her clan. The Shadowbinder wants her back. I say return her." The dragon with orange smoke looks over you as soon as he was done speaking.

"Slaze how many times must i tell you. I am the Leader and you are just my mate that is all." Zylah said as she was narrowing her eyes.
You feel the area freeze near you.

"I say mother we should keep her she seems like a unique case. I feel like she could help the clan." You look over to see a dragon you never noticed covered in ice but seemed to blend into the ocean.

"I agree with your offspring Zylah she might have some potienal if we give her a chance." The dragon with the glitter says.

"I don't know Zylah I am not one to agree with Your mate but The Shadowbinder would be a deity we do not want to upset." The dragon with the staff spoke.

"Well if i may?" Everyone stopped and stared at what spoke. A dragon that was part of the water is all you could make out. And as it came closer you could see slashes all over it's body.
Zylah nods at it to continue and silences Slaze as he was about to speak.

"Well with my knowledge and speaking with Serese it seems like this dragon here is wanted for far worse than exaltation. Death. If this Dragon is to leave the water then death will await her by the claws of the Shadowbinder. I know you have hold a firm claw on who may stay and who leaves the clan but i think that she might be of good use for this clan."

"Then if Serese says she will be of use then she shall stay. What say you little Coatl? Will you stay or perish by The Shadowbinder's Claw the choice is your. But make haste with your decision."

"You mean I can stay?" You ask

"The Sovereign said yes so make your choice..." Before Slaze could finish Zylah had the most terrifying look that stopped all the dragons from speaking.

"Yes." Was all Zylah said.

"Then i wish to stay." You say.

"Very well. Inform the others and now begone." With that Zylah leaves and you are bewildered. You never imagine that you would have a safe haven to stay.
You notice the other dragons still watching you. Embarrassed you leave and return to your hut and rest awaiting the next day.
