The Protecting Shadow



Born in the light territories in a futile attempt at preventing the emergence of the Glitch Queen's power within her, Moxie never did take well to the bright sunlight of the sunbeam ruins. She'd hide in the shade, lurking like a shadow, and avoided interaction with her kin and clan. Eventually her powers did awaken, she used them to leave the brightness that was the light territories, the shadows wrapping around her and hiding her from her parents watchful gazes. Moxie did not look back in the least as she left what was her old life and self behind.

She wandered for a while, exploring the world and learning. She enjoyed her travels, and the opportunities it gave her to harness her gifts to get them to their full potential. However, she eventually decided to settle down, growing tired of drifting aimlessly, and stumbled upon Malady's edge.

She was welcomed by the clan with open wings, and met other descendants of the glitch queen Naomi. Their names were Valour, Noble; and she managed to reconnect with her lost brother Chivalry who had left much earlier than she, hating the sun more than Moxie ever did. She fit right in with them, far more then she ever had with the rest of her direct kin.

Moxie now works to ensure the clan stays hidden from those that would do it harm, and can now truely live without lurking in the shadows. She has found her home within the cult of Malady's edge, and it's doubtful she'll be leaving any time soon.
