Originally from Light, Evangeline spent her earliest days in Plague after her egg hatched while being carried by one of the increasingly more common bands of G1 smugglers. She grew up inside one of deep Plague's quarantine zones, deeply curious about the outside world she had never gotten to see. Evangeline (or Evie, as she is more commonly called) was eventually smuggled out of the Zone by Joel, who had been tasked with returning her to Light G1 smugglers. Unexpectedly, the two dragons, who had both been rather alone for most of their lives, took quite the shine to each other, and Joel eventually defected in order to take Evie somewhere safe. Now seeing him as a father, Evie is excited to see more of a world she had previously only read about.

Very loyal and a fast thinker, growing up in the quarantine zone with few other dragons her own age has made Evie somewhat rash, temperamental, and foul-mouthed. She is rather desensitized to violence and disease, which the Zone had plenty of, and can easily come across as insensitive to dragons who don't know her well. In contrast to Joel's more cynical and jaded outlook, though, Evie has retained a stubborn faith in the goodness of dragonkind, and she can always be counted on to be a curious and chipper young dragon. Evie loves learning more about the world around her, and is very interested about the different cultures and lifestyles across Sornieth. She shares Joel's great love of jokes, especially bad puns. Evie is very close with her adopted father and with her cousin Daisy, the daughter of her dad's closest co-worker. Although she prides herself on being self-sufficient and knowing how to take care of herself, Evie's greatest fear is winding up alone. She can be abrasive at times, but Evie is a clever, witty, and stubbornly loyal young dragon who is absolutely devoted to her family at Home.

Behind the Name...

Derived from the Latin evangelium, Evangeline means 'bearer of good news.'
