Biography
Jasvinder
Lets take the vow We will show you how Your time has come for the new religion Your voice is proud, be your savior now The battle's won for the new religion - Black Veil Brides; New Religion. ![]() Gatherer Gender: Female Favourite Colour: Obsidian Favourite Food: Earthworm Mate: None. Guarded|Snarky|Outspoken Jas is as sassy and snarky as they come. She's got quite the tongue and a quick temper to match. Jas tends to say what she thinks, not caring about others opinions or being sensitive, and that tends to make her unpopular amongst other dragons. It's one of the reasons she can't seem to keep friends. But that's okay; she's a lone wolf by nature, and prefers to be by herself. She does what she wants, when she wants to, and doesn't take kindly to being told what to do. Seriously, it's better to just leave her to her own devices. Having said that though, she's not a bad person, and will lend a hand if the situation is dire. Just don't expect any small favours from her. While in the early days, Jas was cold and ruthless, refusing to acknowledge the other members of her clan, she has since softened up to them, realizing that they do genuinely care for her. While she still likes to keep her distance, she will help out by joining Neith on patrols or gathering supplies for the clan. She still refuses to accept the gods, however, and will not participate in any activity that worships the Shadowbinder. She is the only dragon who is allowed to sit out on exaltation ceremonies. Local Heretic Due to her upbringing, Jas cannot bring herself to believe in any of the deities. Worship to the Shadowbinder is an integeral part of the clan's culture, but Jas refuses to have anything to do with it. She sees the deities as a lie; if the dragon gods are so mighty, why is there suffering in the world? Why do they send the mortal dragons to their deaths to fight their wars? Nisha wants Jas to see that there is more to the deities than just that, but after gentle coaching and discussion of the subject, Nisha respects that Jas's opinion cannot be changed. It is for this reason that Jas is allowed to sit out on any activity that worships the Shadowbinder. Catcher and Scavenger Despite her guarded nature, Jas has slowly integrated herself into the clan, and makes herself useful by gathering food and materials necessary. She works under Neith, and while she does not like the excitable and chatty mirror, she respects her enough to complete any tasks handed to her. She typically completes these tasks by herself, against Nisha's wishes, but she argues that she works more efficiently that way. Insect catching is a task that is carried out each day, however she will also collect materials and other items when there is a demand. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Cast Down From Heaven Born in the Shifting Expanse, Jas was raised by a family who were strict Stormcatcher worshipers. They raised Jas to worship him also, and when she was young she did. However, times were harsh for her family, and Jas would do her best for them and pray every day for the Stormcatcher's favour. As time went on and no favours were coming their way, Jas's faith began to waver, until she realised the reason; the Stormcatcher did not care for her family. The realisation left Jas confused and upset, and knowing that she could not trust in a god that showed her no respect for her worship, Jasvinder denounced the gods. This came as a shock to her family; outraged by her lack of faith, her family forcefully exiled her from the clan, threatening to kill her should she ever show her face again. Wounded both physically and emotionally, Jas made her way to the Tangled Wood where she would spend the next few months in isolation. During this time, she became bitter and angry, blaming the gods for all that was wrong with the world. More than anything though, she was lonely; the exile from her family had crushed her spirits and warped her sense of goodwill. It was in her search for a sanctuary that she came across the Dusk Garden. She was welcome into the clan with open arms, but Jas fought against this welcome. She couldn't trust anyone, not after her family had cast her out. So she tried to run away. But, as she was running away, she was attacked by clan of Serthis not far from the Wispwillow border. Though she escaped the attack, she was badly injured, and she collapsed. She was picked up by Neith, who brought her back to the Garden where Nisha and Meira nursed her back to health. Since then, she has begrudgingly accepted that she is apart of this clan. "The Gods have never cared about us. To them, we're just pawns; an unnamed casualty in their war." - Jasvinder |
