Biography
Bone Queen
༻ M A G N H I L D R ༺ - the queen of bonesxxxxxxx
Life is but a path, an unavoidable path at that. It stages the way for growth and development. But there lies an end to all paths, says Magnhildr, the Goddess of Carrion, the Queen of Bones, the Reclaimer. Endless names originating from endless regions of Sornieth, but they all refer to Her. No matter the variations of titles, Magnhildr is a figure that resurfaces time and time again; she is common in folklore told around campfires and even in tales told to hatchlings in the form of bedtime stories. All of this, to warn them of the dangers of the exterior world and the threat of death. Therefore, She is a figure of menace and vice, lurking in the minds of dragons as She represents the inevitable end that they all fear. But She, in all this fear, asks of the people, what is the reason for it? Death is truly not the end, it marks the earths reclaiming of what is rightfully its. It is a concept that is unavoidable, and, omnipresent. ྿ Creation PLACEHOLDER, the reigning deity of life, at last managed to populate his newly created realm with beings- the dragons. These beings He made from the very Earth, and hence their lives revolved around it. The dragons lived on the Earth, they ate food grown from the Earth, they breathed air from the atmosphere of the Earth. But at this early time of existence, these dragons would age, or become injured but find no end to their lives. These endless lifes began to strain PLACEHOLDERs vitality; he sought to find a solution to this issue. And so, He created Magnhildr, his # child, to devise a plan to resolve the ever-looming issue. She sought to offer relief to those who were at a state where they could no longer go on with life- and to reintegrate them with the Earth from whence they came, while also allowing their souls to move forward to a place that could sustain them for eternity. So Magnhildr came to face Her creator, with an idea. She asked Him if He could create a new place for the souls of the deceased- a parallel dimension that could support endless existence. So the Afterlife was born. Magnhildr's role as a deity was now defined- She would manage death while also open the gates into the Afterlife for the deceased. |
