RELATIONS

MILIARIS: Mate, warrior, hunter.

INNESI: Friend, fellow artisan.

HISTORY
Found washed up in the Flats, even Marequensis doesn't quite remember how she crossed the entire Sea of a Thousand Currents as a mere hatchling; most of the clan chalk it up to the unknowable whims of the Tidelord. Even now, Marequensis keeps largely to the lair, preferring to take apart machines her bolder clanmates bring back for her. While no slouch in a fight, she's an abominably poor swimmer for a dragon in a Water clan, too frightened by the waves to trust in her own strength and the currents.

Perhaps it's not so unusual, then, that she's taken up with both another out-of-flighter and one of the clan's fiercest warriors. Miliaris isn't the brightest coin in the hoard, but he finds automatons just as fascinating when they're not trying to kill him, and often brings Marequensis parts or (nearly-)intact mechanisms found on his far-ranging hunts. The latter are nearly invaluable for a self-taught artificer.

HOME
One of two channels carved out from the central Echinoiden, Miliaris and Maraquensis' shared scrape is scattered with bits of crushed glass, metal shavings, and the odd frayed wire. Here and there are recognizable pieces of automatons, none intact and more than a few... chewed on. An elegant golden chandelier anchored to the ceiling and a matching "mantel" clock (which is actually on the floor) are the only possible concessions to beauty... Or, er, not. Did that gem just wink?

HOARD
Wholly aside from her work, Marequensis-- like many dragons-- enjoys gems, bones, and bone-shaped gems. Innesi has been a great help on this last item, carefully carving softer stones into more organic forms. Due to Miliaris' familiar's taste for stone and metal, though, few of these works of art are visible in their den.
Swinging Chandelier
FAMILIAR
Like many enchanted objects, this Swinging Chandelier-- possibly named Ormolu (or Ulomro), going by the engraving along the underside of each of its scrolling arms-- is more active during the Nocturne breeding season, and indeed appeared in the Auratus lair during that time. Here and now, though, it seems content to simply hang in the secluded Echinoiden, subsisting on anything that falls into its drip pans or the toothy hub in its center.
Primal Shoulder Guard
TRAVEL
Marequensis isn't much a traveler, especially when sea travel is involved. One inexplicable survival is enough for her, thanks! When she has the opportunity to travel overland, she does exhibit her breed's usual need for solitude; any number of her machines might come with her, but she doesn't often stop in at wayhouses or other lairs. Home is certainly where this Banescale's heart is.

Exalting Marequensis to the service of the Tidelord will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
