HISTORY
When Carassius first chose the clan's cavern in the Tidal Flats to rest in during her Search, two Banescale eggs were tucked up at the back of it; of those two, one hatched into Miliaris. He remembers nothing of his time in the shell, of course, so how he and his Fire-gifted sister came to be in Water Flight territory remains a mystery. Frankly, Miliaris doesn't care too much. As far as he's concerned, Clan Auratus are his family, and anyone who picks a fight with him over his elemental powers can feel them-- and his claws-- firsthand.

One of two channels carved out from the central Echinoiden, Miliaris and Maraquensis' shared scrape is scattered with bits of crushed glass, metal shavings, and the odd frayed wire. Here and there are recognizable pieces of automatons, none intact and more than a few... chewed on. An elegant golden chandelier anchored to the ceiling and a matching "mantel" clock (which is actually on the floor) are the only possible concessions to beauty... Or, er, not. Best not check if those fangs are authentic.

While his mate is the real artificer, Miliaris, like many dragons, has a fondness for shiny things, and will often bring back bright scales or intriguing trinkets from his hunts. Whether or not he gets to keep them is rather up to Wuba; the little mimic has a taste for inorganic material.

On closer inspection, the clock by the door is in fact alive! An engraving on its pendulum reads "Don't smash me, I'm not feral! If found outside the lair, please return to Miliaris of Clan Auratus (yellow spotty Banescale)." Why, exactly, someone has seen the need to carve this into a mostly-stationary mimic is unclear.
