Personal Biography

Cloudsong Corgis Daycare

I bought him for 20kt in a PAH from Pavus. He was a male nocturne with oilslick poison, tangerine butterfly, banana underbelly and lightning unusual eyes. I turned him into a banescale and gave him poison again, then alloy and at long last he got contour. I'm very proud.

You have plenty of food in your hoard, but when you try to feed your dragon it says you are out of food. Why? Because the food in your hoard needs to be converted into food points. Think of it as preparing the food before consumption.

multi-function-convert-food.png

When you are in (for example) your lair, hoard or gathering you will be able to see how many food points you have of each food type in the header right under the top banner. They are on the same line as the site clock and your messages. Different breeds of dragon eat different food types. The four types are insects, meat, seafood and plants.

Then it is time to feed your dragons! You can either feed all the dragons in your lair at once by going to your lair and clicking the feed button in the upper right corner. Food points will be spent automatically until either all your dragoins are full or you run out of food points that your dragons eat. To fill a starving dragon you need 50 food points to fill its energy bar, and having a well fed lair will give you small bonuses over time. Your clan's average energy bar is found in the top right corner of the screen, right under your username and above your current treasure count.

Some players, me included, have very many dragons. Feeding all our dragons is more expensive than the gain from having a well-fed lair. Therefore there are many active and semi-active lairs that are unfed and not dead. Lairs where the user has quit are referred to as dead lairs, and you can check when a player was last active by looking at when they last made a forum post, the age of their youngest dragon or if any dragons are on a breeding cooldown. These are signs that a lair is still alive even when the dragons are starving.

Dragons don't die when they run out energy. They simply can't breed or fight in the coliseum, which makes sense. It took several years before single dragon feeding was implemented, and it was a blessing. Now you can go to a specific dragon's profile and hit the feed button on the middle of the screen, just below the dragon and its energy bar. You even get the option of what food type you would like to spend points from if a breed eats more than one food type. This lets me save food by only feeding my coliseum fighters, exaltees and breeders when I need them.

Food can be found many places in this game. Gathering lets you choose what food group you would like to gather via hunting, fishing, insect gathering and foraging. Digging and scavenging will NOT give you food. The other common way to get food is by fighting in the coliseum. Higher venues are supposed to drop loot more often, while lower venues lets you complete more battles in less time. Personally I feel like the lower venues drop way more food, although they also give fewer food points. There is no correct answer on what is the best venue for gathering food.

Food can also be gifted via Personal Messages, traded via the Crossroads and sold or bought via the Auction House. You can also create food in Baldwin's Bubbling Brew, but you will first need to melt down some of your food into goo before crafting the food. You could transmute 2 foods worth 2 food points each (4) and make 5 Soylent Green which gives you 8 food points each and a surplus of 66 food points. It's really good, except you may want to save your green goo for the flight holidays instead, as you can use it to craft limited skins and accents.

You also use food for trades with Swipp, more recipies at Baldwin's and many of the Hibernal Den slot tasks. Many like to keep a few extra foods in their hoard or vault in case a new feature is added to the game that require a certain food item. Some players hoard hundreds of a specific food item they like just for fun, and you might want to make their day by gifting them one or two. In short, food is a very omportant and fun part of Flight Rising.

Cute corgies are a way for Wind Flight to raise treasure during Dominance pushes. Below are the good dogs I have purchased so far. Click here to go to the sales tread and buy your own fluffy friend.

Pancake's favourite item is: Good Eater Award. Make sure to keep an eye on your sweets and treats, otherwise you might find a little chunk missing. Pancake has quite the sweet tooth, though you can't really blame them, pancakes are incredibly yummy! Latte's favourite item is: Shattered Ceramic Shard. Don't mind the broken coffee mugs or the puddles, Latte can get a little excited when sharing their love of coffee with others! They do make a good brew though and who can look past their cute coffee art! Spoon's favourite item is: Fluted Bat Spoon. Wherever you see white paw prints, Spoon will not be too far behind. This little corgi loves to bake and is rarely seen outside of the kitchen! Have you tried her famous lemon drizzle cake? It's absolutely divine.

Exalting Edulis to the service of the Windsinger will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
