- born to a pair of artists, Amit had a quiet upbringing and was encouraged to pursue an art of his own
- however, deviating from the conventions of art, Amit became entranced by the art of mapmaking and never quite felt adequate enough because he felt that his pursuits demonstrated a lack of creative spirit or imagination
- he fled, fearing expectation and crushed under the weight of his own perceived inadequacy
- the archive felt like home to him the moment he set foot inside because this was the exact sort of place that would appreciate his attention to detail for something like mapmaking
- and if his attention to detail won him the attention of his mate, Inna, then that was just good luck
- he has since risen to oversee the archivists of the nomadic division, though he views himself less as their boss and more as their begrudging uncle, something that Valhalla teases him for endlessly
