Nidhogg
Junk Dealer, Composter

"None yet."

Nidhogg climbed out of their egg knowing nothing of the world around them. Despite being affected by arcane magic while in their egg, the hatchling felt no connection to their aligned element. They lay where they hatched, watching the life all around them. The ants in front of it were industriously eating away at a rotting log. After studying them for a time, Nidhogg finally got to their feet and started moving. They had soon found a clan to join that would take them in.

As they grew, their form began to change. Smoke rose from their mouth and hands while their scales grew darker, more pronounced. Nidhogg would often slip out of the clan at night and chew at the roots of rotting trees, helping them fall to the ground. The smoke was secondary to a fire deep inside, a remnant of their breed's origins in the Flamecaller's domain. This helped Nidhogg chew through the roots, even if there was minimal decomposition. They would drag them to a hidden spot, wait for them to decompose, then sell the ensuing compost to the agriculturalists and herbalists in the clan.

Nidhogg does not get along with Birch since they began chewing on the roots of trees which weren't entirely compromised. Their ideals clash; while Birch believes that every tree is sacred and should be protected Nidhogg holds none of them sacred, believing that everything has its end at some point. Ragnarok will claim all.

Named after the serpent who chews on Yggdrasil's roots in Norse mythology.

Named for the dragon of Norse mythology? I'm not sure my Yggdrasil would get along with him so well lol. I like your plans for him, a cool G1! BlastHardCheese
