Biography

He has actual lore, ignore the main look it's just a meme for me to make him as weird as possible
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
Society. he/they. co-founder
Leopard Coralclimber Toxin Battered Vase Mimic Powder
━━━━━━━━━━━━
Abandoned as a hatchling, he survived the wastelands as a scammer that'd get to the most desperate of dragons in the plague wastelands and guide or help them until the very end; even though he could seem like a charming and benevolent fae all throught, in the end they always would ask for payment in exchange, be it treasure, food, or anything.
If payment was not given, they'd fall prey to his venom.
He always was careful to be picky with his targets, as they did not want to pick anyone stronger than them.

Nowadays, he is (kind of) long past that, being happier in their current lifestyle, but old habits die hard, and while they have kept their friendly and charming personality, they're not remorseful of their past, or at least not as much as he should be.
He is the one to welcome new dragons into the clan, and one of the dragons that'd bring comfort to new habitants who may have sadness over their past; his niceness is genuine, after all, and most of the clan knows him as a simply charming fae, unknowing of his other natures.

Unlike his daughter, his intentions are not always clear from the get go and he can be sly with their actions, with a very calm personality and good temper. He is also kind of the straight man of his family, but sometimes they also want to join in the fun.

notes.
» he is able to produce venom on his body and with such, to withstand it. The pink liquid on his body is only dangerous if somehow ingested or introduced into blood flow, along with his bright markings showing a warning sign to other plague dragons who may not be so lucky in their tolerances agaisnt venom.
» he is able to fly, but gets tired easily. They rather crawl around since that was the way he walked around and hid from sight in the old times when the foe was too much for him.
» very loving father and husband. Although some people are scared of his wife and daughter, he has a great relationship with both, although is sometimes scared of Junior's extremely good handling of venom.
» he struggles with expressing emotions with his face so he tends to exaggerate, which makes people misunderstand his actual emotion or think he is feeling more than he actually is. He can comunicate with fae almost perfectly though.
» was thrown into the wilderness of plague as a hatchling by his original clan, however, he was never found again and assumed dead. For all his life, he thought that none of the hatchlings are meant to come back to their clan and rather they must survive on their own unless they found another clan.
» thus, he never received a name until recently. Although "Society" may be a weird name, is what his wife, Tolgir, called him for whatever reason. He is attached to this name, though, as he believes this life is the happiest he has been.
» his frills are a bit smaller than usual compared to other faes.
» knows some magic tricks and sometimes used them to distract dragons before running away.
» his familiar is a Battered Vase he stole long ago and couldn't leave behind after he realized it was alive. Although some dragons consider it unsettling, he likes having as decor.
» back then used to throw mimic powder from his familiar to escape situations that seemed too much to him.

Title: Just Business As Usual (WC = 741)
“Almost there!” he called back to the Pearlcatcher couple struggling to follow behind him. “Watch your step here, wouldn’t want to fall into a contagion pool when Dragonhome is just up ahead!”

“Come on, Sky, you can do it,” the male Pearlcatcher said tiredly to his mate, temporarily shifting his grip on his pearl to one claw so he could help her up with his other. “There you go. The Fae fellow says we’re almost there.”

Sky groaned, but when she caught sight of the dry, cracked plains of the Earth Domain just up ahead she seemed to rally. Together the Pearlcatchers stumbled over the last stretch of Scarred Wasteland, leaning on each other for support.

They were just about to cross over into Dragonhome when suddenly the Fae that had been leading them darted in front, wings spread wide, causing them to draw up short.

“Whoa, now!” he said, surprisingly jovial for a Fae, “You can’t go through just yet!”

The male Pearlcatcher gaped. “What do you mean, we’re right here!”

“Yes, but we still need to discuss the matter of my service fee.”

“Service fee?” Sky echoed. “What service fee?” She turned to her mate, “I don’t remember discussing any fees with him, do you, Argent?”

Argent was scowling at the Fae, his fangs bared. “I most certainly do not. In fact, I distinctly remember you telling us that you ‘just like to help’ those you find lost in the Scarred Wasteland.”

“Oh, I do!” the Fae agreed, nodding happily. “Especially because they pay me afterwards!”

Argent snorted in indignation, and then turned up his nose. “Well, sorry, friend. We don’t have any treasure to spare. We need everything we have to help establish our new lair in Terraclae.”

The Fae just gave him a sly smile. “Come now, lair space in Dragonhome isn’t that expensive these days…providing you don’t mind finding a spot in the Parched Canyonwalks instead.”

“The Canyonwalks!” Sky spluttered. “So close to the Scarred Wasteland? Never!”

“Well,” the Fae drawled out, tilting his head to the side. “I didn’t want to resort to this, but I can’t let people freeload off of me. I gotta eat too, you know? So how about this. You two pay me, or,” he held up his claws, which were suddenly glowing a sickly green, “I give you a going-away present from the Plague Domain, free of charge.”

The Pearlcatcher couple both paled significantly. Sky turned to Argent and hissed, “Just pay him Argent, I can’t take any more of this diseased atmosphere!”

If looks could kill, the Fae would have been dead on the spot, but sadly all Argent could do was hand over a sack of treasure, glaring all the while.

“Let’s see what we have here,” the Fae said gleefully, shaking the pouch and making it jingle. He opened it up, peeking inside, before tutting sadly. “Hmm, not even half of my usual rate, how unfortunate.”

Argent bristled. “If you take any more than that, we won’t be able to afford to eat, let alone find a new home!”

The Fae just waved a glowing clawtip, making the couple flinch back, but before he could threaten them again, they heard a yelp of pain in the distance.

“Hmmm, sounds like I might have a new customer,” the Fae mused aloud. And then he turned back to the Pearlcatchers, giving them a cheeky wave. “Looks like today’s your lucky day, I seem to be having a sale! Thank you very much for your business, and enjoy your stay in Dragonhome!”

Before they could say anything else, the Fae took off over their heads and headed towards the yelp he’d heard. He heard them cursing after him, but he wasn’t worried. It wasn’t like they’d ever dare come back to the Scarred Wastelands to get revenge.

As he soared over a cliff, he caught sight of soft pink wings below, and he swooped in to land. But when he saw his next ‘customer’, he drew up short. Lying there on the ground, covered in wounds and looking like she was on the brink of death, was the most lovely Fae he’d ever seen. His frills flared involuntarily for a moment in interest, before he forced them back into a more neutral position.

She may have been pretty, but this Fae was also his next victim. It was best not to get too attached…
