Heartsblood

Microlore: Her family found her a great beauty, but she finds her looks a hassle and little more. Suitors may come and call, but she has little patience for them. Her life is busy. Her path is set.

She is a Hunter of spirits and the undead, dedicated to keeping the living safe from restless phantoms, revenants, and fiends. Raised in Oakrest, she has walked ancestral tombs to keep the shadows still, honing her craft, studying under Hodges and Paige to learn all she can to prolong her twilight walks.

While she does not share her sisters' boon, and her heart has often felt alone while she watched them struggle with their Stonetouched natures, she has thrown herself into the study and lore of the dead, becoming something of an expert on funerary rites and traditions. Armed with knives and candles and song, she knows the best way to quiet a spirit, be it by violence, ritual, or prayer.

She is writing a collection of poetry which is funerary dirges for those long-departed and left without rest or respect. She is aromantic and does not find much time for fleeting relations with those outside her immediate sphere.


Hatchling name: Heartsblood for her bleak coloring and her severe nature. This is the name her family called her as she grew up, but not necessarily the one she kept when she joined a new clan.
