Biography
An awkward youth who grew into an equally awkward adult, Varius has eschewed much of his clan's society, instead opting for the much more fascinating company of insects. An entomologist of some renown, he goes about his days cataloguing and tabulating which bugs are found where, in what portion of their life cycle, and in what quantity. Some find his profession bucolic in the worst way, but it satisfies him immensely. In his spare time, he has taken up dancing, much like his father and grandmother before him. While he does not have the despair of his family behind him, nor does he have their charming appearances, and so when he dances for others, it is often under many layers of costuming to hide what he sees are his own flaws. He has a poor vision of himself, finding his best qualities his intellect and his patience, and does not see where others value his grace and his eclectic habits. A bit of a loner, he has never considered a romantic entanglement, mostly because he feels they are not something others would wish to pursue with him. He may well be ace-spec for all he doesn't think about it, but he literally does not consider it as part of his daily affairs, so should another ask him, he would not have the requisite answer at hand.
