Lady is the shadowy leader of the Drifting Ashes clan. As far as most dragons are aware, she is merely the owner of the Little Lace Tea Corner. Her entire clan is split into a series of smaller, seemingly independent groups that hide her true power and influence. This approach to clanbuilding is something Lady has carried over from her former life as a crime lord, which she has since retired from due to her advanced age and poor health.

____Lady was born into a destitute small clan in the Zephyr Steppes. She grew up in poverty and fell into petty crime at a young age, stealing food and small items from other clans. From there she joined a syndicate of mercenaries and robbers. Lady had previously made us of her sickly appearance to make her targets underestimate her, and then went on to utilise this skill within the syndicate to advance through the ranks unnoticed.

____Within a few years Lady made her way to the top of the syndicate, and went on to grow the organisation to influence the underbelly of much of southern Sornieth.

_LEADERSHIP_

____The Western Reaches Postal Service, which also provides intelligence for the clan on top of their neutral postal duties to the wider region, is run by Lady's adopted daughter Marquis. The Newmoon Hunters Guild, which spends most of its time hunting Shade manifestations across Sornieth, is funded by her vast coffers, and has one of her longest-standing agents, Nightshade, as one of its members. The Ironclad battleship is also funded by her for similar reasons.

____Lady further maintains a mutually beneficial covenant with Sionnach, one of the twin spirits to whom the local temple is dedicated. The farms involved in this temple's worship provide for the feeding of the rest of the clan as a further benefit. Lady has also convinced the other spirit, Persephone, to gift one of her children to the wandering traders of La Fata Morgana. The local witch coven is for her more of a nuisance than anything else, but they do make for very good customers at the tea shop.
