A reserved Pearlcatcher. Kinshu spends much of her time in the city's dusty archives, keeping them meticulously organized. If someone should need to disturb her records, she will show them to what they need with barely concealed irritation. Born to a family of bookkeepers in service to one of Fire's noble families, Kinshu, like many, lost her livelihood in the wake of the Magmablood Rebellion. Her employers, suddenly paranoid of their servants rising up against them, fired everyone they didn't trust completely. As this included Kinshu, she was suddenly out of a job that she had thought would be stable. Deciding to leave the Ashfall Waste to avoid the fighting, Kinshu found herself in Traveler's Rest. On a whim, she stopped in the city library, and noticed the sorry state of the shelves. The only dragons working there at the time were Amorra and Artemi, alongside whoever they could rope into helping them. Unable to let the library continue in its current state, Kinshu offered herself up for hire, and was gratefully accepted by the librarians. As the library's staff grew, Kinshu was moved away from the front desk and into the section set aside for the city's archives. This post suited her much better than the front, where many daily visitors were subjected to her irritable personality. Kinshu prefers to keep to herself outside of her work. However, she has struck up something of a friendship with the dragons who regularly visit the archives. These include the scholar Rosette and fellow library employees Ver and Antistita. She's even preparing the latter to help her with the ever-expanding archives. When she's not working, Kinshu cares for a small flock of ravens who have taken up residence around her house. |
