Serai is an adept hunter and is extremely skilled at tracking prey. She has to be. She was forced out of Pearlcatcher society when she lost her pearl. She also lost her horn when she was captured by the Serthis poachers, but isn't as bothered by that as the pearl debacle since the missing horn helps her hide her identity more effectively.

Even now she feels uneasy interacting with others of her own breed because she doesn’t want to be judged or humiliated. So Serai spends most of her time with other different dragons who don’t really care or are oblivious to the significance of the pearl.
