 Mikhail and Pavlina hadn't exactly intended to adopt, not so soon after the end of the war. But when the last nest of Banescales was uncovered and thousands of homeless hatchlings flocked to the skies in song, perhaps it was inevitable that one would make its way to Spinehome.

The two had gone to the markets together - something like a date, perhaps, though on paper it was just to get supplies. They encountered an older Ridgeback trailed by a small pack of Banes, for whom she was looking for homes.

No sooner had Dublin seen the Spiral and Skydancer than he approached, chirruping, perhaps remembering ever so faintly the long-dead dragons that sired him. Regardless of the reason, the two decided they couldn't just leave the hatchling, and brought him home to Spinehome as their own. 		Brilliant Length
