Custodian's ex-lover. The two maintain a friendly, cordial relationship. Though both state they find books to be more than enough company in their old age, there is some Serious Mutual Pining going on. We're talking rivals to friends to lovers to idiots to maybe lovers again if either one could get their head out of a damn book for long enough to - their small book club/weekly meetings for scones and gossip are fraught with longing glances and words left unsaid.

Scrollkeeper... acquired a library some time ago. Through entirely legitimate means - questionable means, certainly, involving mead, old friends, and an ill-timed bet with a minor trickster spirit, but technically legal - and he's more than a little overwhelmed with running it. He's easily-flustered at the best of times, and has a habit of acting before he thinks, (don't deal with the Fey when drunk, kids) but he is trying his best to ensure the library succeeds. Scrollkeeper looks and sounds dignified, but it's all an illusion - he's a chaotic disaster, but good-hearted, and much-loved for it.
